Darwin Day (Feb 12) Celebration at Jacksonville State University

The APS was honored to be a part of the February 12 Darwin Day activities at Jacksonville State University on a very stormy Wednesday evening. It was a great event with several Paleontologists from the southeast presenting on some amazing recent and ongoing work. There were also family activities, a huge spread of food provided during the reception, and a display area. The APS was one of several groups providing educational displays and engagement with the many faculty, students, and families that came through in spite of the weather. It was a fantastic event that we hope will be repeated in the future. Below are some pictures of the APS display, the other participant displays, and one of the guest lectures.
